The Figure You Get In A Sell House Rent Back Valuation

April 18th, 2008

Most of the sell and rent back deals work in a certain way. Once you
have called a firm to say that you are interested in a sell and rent
back transaction, the company will value your property. In most cases
the sell house rent back
valuation will be the open market value, so if prices are artificially
inflated do not expect a similar offer from the company. Once a fair
valuation has been established the rent back firm will make you an
offer which is a percentage of the assessed value.

The figure you usually get will depend on a number of factors. These
include the age and condition of your property. If the rent back
property company thinks it will need work when it is time to sell it
on, then you will get a smaller offer than if your home is in pristine
condition. The offer made by the rent back property company will also
vary depending on how easy it will be for them to let the property when
you decide to move on.
