people struggling to hold onto their real homes through times of
emotional or financial difficulty. And for many a sell home and rent
back schemes make financial sense as the property market looks
increasingly shaky. The Halifax House Price Index revealed a fall of
2.4 per cent in property prices in May 2008 as the Bank of England
leaves rates at 5 per cent in an attempt to control inflation. The
fall in property prices is expected to be even more severe in the
short to medium-term.
